Prehnite with Epidote Crystal Tower - 1.75-4.5 inch
Product Description
This Prehnite with Epidote Crystal Tower is polished into a faceted, single-terminated point with a pale, waxy green translucence threaded by darker green Epidote needles. Each Tower is individually selected for colour depth and the visual character of its Epidote inclusions, so the pattern and the exact size and weight are unique to it. It ranges from a compact hand point to a larger display piece.
Prehnite is traditionally associated with Calm and Stress Relief, valued as a settling, restful stone, while the Epidote inclusions add a long-standing association with abundance and growth. It is commonly kept for Intuition and Spiritual Awareness and used as a quiet focal point for release and renewal.

Geological Information
Prehnite is a calcium aluminium silicate with a Mohs hardness of 6 to 6.5 and an orthorhombic crystal system, typically forming botryoidal masses with a translucent, waxy lustre in pale green to yellow-green from iron. It holds the distinction of being the first mineral named after a person, Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, who brought specimens to Europe in the 18th century. Prehnite frequently contains needle inclusions, and the pistachio-green Epidote seen threading through these towers is a calcium aluminium iron sorosilicate with a Mohs hardness of 6 to 7, prized in prehnite specimens for its contrast. This tower form is also sold as an Obelisk or a Point, all describing the same faceted, single-terminated cut. Principal sources for Prehnite include South Africa, Australia, China, the United States, and Scotland.
