Seftonite, also known as African Bloodstone, is a chalcedony with green chlorite inclusions and red-orange hematite spots, mineralogically similar to classic Bloodstone (Heliotrope) but sourced from South African rather than Indian deposits. The South African material generally shows a deeper, more saturated green base with more vivid spotting than the Indian material. This upright, tapered form is variously referred to as a Tower, an Obelisk, or a Point.
