The Green Fairy Hand-Painted Incense Burner takes the shape of a winged figure, her butterfly wings spread wide and layered in deep greens with fine veining picked out along each panel, warm copper hair curling down through a bed of modelled foliage. The wing patterning and the folds of hair and leaves are genuinely sculpted rather than printed on, giving the piece real dimension for its size, and since each one is hand-painted, brushwork and colour depth vary slightly from piece to piece. A channel through the centre of the figure holds a stick upright, and the same recess accepts a cone, so one burner covers both formats without needing a second piece. Cast in cold cast resin, it has the cool, solid weight and feel of a carved stone piece while keeping the fine detail a mould allows.
