Amethyst Geode Half - 4.7 x 6.6 inch

Pale lilac crystal packed tight across an open bowl of quartz
$64.95

Product Description

This Amethyst Geode Half opens across a broad, shallow cavity lined edge to edge with small pale lilac crystal points. The violet is soft rather than saturated, deepening slightly toward the back of the pocket where the crystals sit closest together, and the whole druzy surface catches light in a fine granular sparkle rather than in distinct facets. A grey chalcedony rind wraps the outside, polished smooth so the cut face and the raw crystal interior sit in clear contrast. The base has been cut flat, letting the piece stand square and low without a stand.

Amethyst is traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual awareness, and calm, and has long been kept in spaces set aside for reflection or rest. A Geode Half is commonly used as a fixed anchor point in a room rather than a piece that moves around, placed on a desk, shelf, or bedside surface where the open crystal face stays visible. Some people use pieces of this kind as a resting place for smaller stones, and geodes of this scale are frequently given as a settling-in or milestone gift.

Geological Information
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at Mohs 7. Its colour comes from iron impurities combined with natural irradiation within the crystal lattice, which is why intensity ranges so widely from the palest lilac through to deep royal purple; this piece sits at the lighter end of that range. Amethyst forms as prismatic hexagonal crystals lining geodes and vugs, growing inward from the cavity wall, which is exactly the structure a cut half exposes. The name descends from the Ancient Greek amethystos, meaning not drunk, after the classical belief that the stone guarded against intoxication. Commercial Amethyst is sourced from Brazil, Uruguay, Zambia, Madagascar, Russia, South Korea, and Canada, with this piece sourced from Brazil.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Amethyst fades with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Display the piece away from a sunlit window, and lift it from the base rather than by the crystal points.
