Amethyst Geode Half With Blue Agate - 7.4 x 4.3 inch
Product Description
Tall and narrow, this Amethyst Geode Half opens as a slender arch with lavender and white layers running almost the full height of the cavity. The Amethyst here is banded rather than pocketed, alternating pale violet and near-white in horizontal sweeps that follow the contour of the opening, so the crystal reads as a continuous column instead of a single concentrated bed. A dark Banded Agate rim wraps the outside in a thin, tight border. The base is cut flat and the whole piece stands upright with a pronounced vertical lift.
Amethyst carries a long association with intuition, spiritual awareness, and settling a busy mind, and narrow upright pieces are typically placed where their height reads against a plain wall or in a corner rather than competing on a crowded surface. This one suits a bookshelf, entry table, or the end of a mantel. People commonly keep a piece of this shape within daily sight-lines rather than in a dedicated display position, and its slim footprint makes it workable in spaces where a wider geode would not fit.

Geological Information
Amethyst is quartz, silicon dioxide at Mohs 7, trigonal, coloured purple by iron impurities and natural irradiation within the lattice. The banded appearance of the crystal across this piece reflects changing conditions during growth, with iron availability and fluid chemistry shifting over time and recording those shifts as alternating pale and deeper layers through the crystal bed. The outer shell is Banded Agate, the foundational agate form, built from microcrystalline quartz laid down in successive silica layers of varying trace mineral content, each band marking a separate deposition event as fluids filled the cavity in the host rock. Agate is one of the most widely distributed minerals on Earth and was named by the Greek philosopher Theophrastus after the Achates River in Sicily. Brazil is this piece's source, among the principal Amethyst localities that also include Uruguay, Zambia, Madagascar, Russia, South Korea, and Canada.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Amethyst fades with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Display the piece away from a sunlit window, and lift it from the base rather than by the crystal points.
