Amethyst Geode Half With Blue Agate - 4.3 x 4.2 inch

A purple starburst caught mid-spray in pale quartz
$34.95

Product Description

This Amethyst Geode Half is the smallest piece in its group and the most sharply defined. A dark olive and near-black Banded Agate rim encloses a pale quartz field, and at the centre a distinct purple starburst radiates outward in fine needle-like sprays, caught as though mid-motion. The surrounding crystal is milky and close-grown, which throws the violet radial into hard relief rather than letting it blend outward. The cut face is polished flat and glossy, and the piece is compact enough to sit comfortably within one hand while still standing on its own cut base.

Amethyst is traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual awareness, and quieting the mind. At this scale a Geode Half suits a desk, windowless shelf, or bedside surface where it can be seen closely rather than across a room, and pieces this size are among the few large-format crystals that can genuinely be picked up and turned to the light. It is a common choice for someone building a first collection, and the radial pattern makes it a frequent gift where a distinctive single specimen is wanted over a matched set.

Geological Information
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at Mohs 7, its colour produced by iron impurities combined with natural irradiation within the crystal lattice. The radiating spray at the centre of this piece formed where crystal growth began from a single nucleation point and extended outward in all directions at once, rather than growing inward as a uniform bed from the cavity wall. The enclosing rind is Banded Agate, a chalcedony of the same quartz family and hardness, deposited in successive silica layers as mineral-rich fluids filled the original void, with its dark olive and near-black tones from natural trace mineral content. Amethyst is sourced commercially from Brazil, Uruguay, Zambia, Madagascar, Russia, South Korea, and Canada, with this piece originating in Brazil.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Amethyst fades with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Display the piece away from a sunlit window, and lift it from the base rather than by the crystal points.
