Batik Jasper Heart - 1.75 inch

Swirled multicolour jasper shaped into a full, rounded heart
$20.95

Product Description

The Batik Jasper Heart is shaped into a full, deep-bodied form with softly uneven lobes and a shallow, slightly off-centre cleft, so each piece carries its own silhouette rather than a machine-matched outline. Charcoal and slate greys break across the surface in irregular patches, cut through by cream, ochre, and deep rust that pool and drift in painterly, organic flows. The polish is smooth and consistent across the curved faces, and the piece has a solid, substantial presence in a closed hand.

Jasper has long been valued in folk tradition as a steadying material, and Batik Jasper is commonly described as reading settled and unhurried rather than stimulating. It is traditionally kept close during quiet reflection or meditation, and is believed by practitioners to help hold attention in the present moment. On a desk, bedside table, or altar it serves as a small tactile focus within a space, and Hearts of this kind are frequently chosen as gifts.

Geological Information
Batik Jasper, also sold under the trade name Batik Ocean Jasper, is a chalcedony variety within the quartz family: silicon dioxide carrying multicolour mineral inclusions, Mohs 7, trigonal crystal system. Its swirled palette of browns, tans, reds, rusty orange, cream, and yellow, occasionally with green or pink, comes from varied trace mineral content, and the flowing distribution of those colours is what earned the material its name, resembling the wax-resist patterning of batik cloth. The trade name is modern rather than historical, drawn from the Indonesian and Javanese textile art. It is worth noting that the Batik Ocean Jasper name creates genuine overlap with Ocean Jasper, a geologically distinct spherulitic rhyolite, and the two materials are not the same. The material is natural, with no treatment or enhancement applied. Madagascar is the most commonly cited source, with general jasper sources also including India, China, and the USA.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
