Reaper Backflow Incense Burner (7.5 in)

A quiet ritual in downward smoke and bone
$44.95

Product Description

The Reaper Backflow Incense Burner casts a hooded, skeletal figure bent forward over a small vessel cradled in its bony hands, the hollow-eyed skull set deep beneath a heavy carved hood and the robe falling into thick, weighted folds around a rough-edged base. It is built in hand-painted cold cast resin, giving it the density and cool surface feel of cast metal or stone, with a bronzed, aged finish that picks out the fine bone detail, the etched patterns on the robe, and the ornamental metalwork on the vessel itself. Once a lit backflow incense cone is set inside, smoke rises briefly from the opening before sinking downward, spilling over the vessel's rim and pooling across the rocky base in a slow-moving trail. At seven and a half inches, the piece holds real presence on a shelf, altar, or desk without requiring a large dedicated space. Backflow incense cones are required to produce the back flow effect and are sold separately.

The reaper figure draws on old, widespread associations with death, transition, and the passage between worlds, a symbol traditionally used to mark endings that make way for something new rather than to invoke fear on its own. Displayed during ritual work or quiet reflection, a piece like this is commonly used to hold space for release, letting go, and the acceptance of change. The downward-flowing smoke reinforces that same idea visually, sinking rather than rising, echoing themes of surrender and grounding that many find useful during transformative periods.

Each piece is selected for its quality, craftsmanship, and intended use. Every product is selected to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding. Use with backflow incense cones only - do not use charcoal discs or other high-heat fuels, which can scorch or melt the resin. Burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts and flammable materials, out of reach of children and pets, and never leave burning incense unattended.
