African Bloodstone Heart - 0.5-0.75 inch
Product Description
The African Bloodstone Heart is a deep, saturated green stone flecked with red-orange spots scattered across the surface at random. At this small scale the spotting carries the piece visually, and coverage varies sharply, with some Hearts heavily marked and others nearly solid green. The polish is high and glassy. These are genuinely tiny, sitting flat in the palm in numbers rather than singly, and light enough that a handful weighs almost nothing.
African Bloodstone is traditionally associated with protection and grounding, inheriting one of the strongest and most consistent metaphysical histories of any green stone. A secondary association with energy and vitality gives it a more physical, active reading than most protective stones. At this size the pieces function as tokens rather than display stones, tucked into a bag or wallet, given away, or gathered as a set.

Geological Information
African Bloodstone, also traded as Seftonite, is a chalcedony variety of the quartz family, silicon dioxide at Mohs 7 in the trigonal system, carrying green chlorite inclusions and red-orange hematite spotting. It is mineralogically similar to classic Bloodstone, also called Heliotrope, but comes from South African rather than Indian deposits, and the South African material generally shows a deeper, more saturated green base with more vivid spotting than the Indian stone. The Seftonite name exists in the trade specifically to mark that origin distinction. The material is natural and requires no treatment. Bloodstone carries one of the strongest metaphysical records of any green stone, used across ancient Babylonia, Egypt, and Rome and extensively in medieval Christian tradition, where the red spots were associated with the blood of Christ; the African material inherits that full tradition as a regional variant of the same mineral type. South Africa is the primary commercial source.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
