Blue Agate Slab - 5.1 x 6.4 inch
Product Description
A dark navy border and a thin gold-green rind enclose this Blue Agate Slab, opening onto a wide chamber of white crystal that fills most of the cut face. The crystalline surface is coarse and irregular, with a warm tan patch settled at the base of the cavity where mineral staining pooled. The banding between rim and interior is compressed into a narrow zone, so the piece reads mainly as an open crystal bowl rather than a layered pattern. It stands upright on a flat cut base.
Banded Agate is traditionally associated with balance and harmony, with a grounding and protective secondary character. Specimens where the crystal chamber dominates are usually placed where light reaches into the opening, near a lamp or window, since the coarse interior depends on direct light to show its texture properly. Agate is commonly kept in living rooms and studies, and this one holds a shelf or side table as its central object.

Geological Information
Banded Agate is a chalcedony variety of the quartz family, silicon dioxide at Mohs 7, deposited in cyclic silica layers within a cavity in host rock. A narrow banded zone paired with a large open crystal chamber, as on this piece, indicates that conditions shifted early from dense layered accretion to free crystal growth, leaving the wall comparatively thin before the remaining fluid began crystallising into open space. The coarse texture of that crystal reflects slow growth with room to develop, in contrast to the compact fine-grained chalcedony of the layers behind it. The tan pooling at the base is late-stage iron oxide settling under gravity. Agate is a banded variety of chalcedony within the quartz family, formed through successive layers of silica deposited within a cavity over time. It is common industry practice for coloured agate to be dyed or otherwise colour-enhanced to achieve vivid, saturated tones. Agate is among the most widely distributed minerals on Earth, recovered from Brazil, India, the USA, Mexico and Germany; this piece is Brazilian.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
