Blue Agate Slice - 5.5 x 7.9 inch
Product Description
Broad and low, this Blue Agate Slice runs through pale powder blue and white banding to a striking golden-tan panel at its centre, angular in outline and warm enough to shift the whole balance of the piece away from cool. The layers around it are wide and softly graded, and the gold reads as a deliberate inset against them rather than a stain bleeding outward. A darker olive edge frames the outer rim. The polish is smooth across the cut face and the flat base spans nearly the full width.
Banded Agate is traditionally linked with balance, harmony, and a grounding steadiness. A wide piece carrying a single strong focal point tends to be placed where that centre stays at or near eye level, on a sideboard, low shelf, or dresser rather than high up. Agate has long been kept in living and gathering spaces, and the warm centre here makes this one sit comfortably in rooms with wood tones or warm lighting where a purely cool specimen might read as cold.

Geological Information
Banded Agate is a chalcedony variety of the quartz family, silicon dioxide at Mohs 7, built from cyclic silica deposition within a cavity. The golden-tan centre of this piece is a late-stage infill rich in iron oxide, deposited once the cavity had narrowed to its final volume and the remaining fluid had concentrated; iron content that would tint an entire band faintly at high volume produces a saturated colour when confined to a small residual space. Its angular outline follows the shape the converging agate layers left behind rather than any crystal habit of its own. Agate is a banded variety of chalcedony within the quartz family, formed through successive layers of silica deposited within a cavity over time. It is common industry practice for coloured agate to be dyed or otherwise colour-enhanced to achieve vivid, saturated tones. Agate is among the most globally distributed minerals and one of the most continuously used decorative stones in recorded history. Commercial material comes from Brazil, India, the USA, Mexico and historically Germany, with this piece sourced from Brazil.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
