Geological Information
Caribbean Calcite is a combination stone consisting of blue calcite together with white to brown aragonite occurring in a single matrix, a calcium carbonate material with a Mohs hardness of 3. The blue to teal colouration in the calcite comes from trace copper or iron content. Despite the name, it has no connection to the Caribbean; the name is a trade designation referencing the resemblance of its blue-teal colour to Caribbean water. It is found exclusively at a single deposit in Pakistan and entered the international market around 2019, quickly becoming one of the most popular new introductions. This tower form is also sold as an Obelisk or a Point, all describing the same faceted, single-terminated cut. Its sole source is Pakistan.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Caribbean Calcite is soft at Mohs 3 and sensitive to acids and water. Keep it dry, wipe with a soft dry cloth only, and store it away from harder stones to prevent scratching.
