Geological Information
Caribbean Calcite is a combination stone consisting of blue calcite together with white-to-brown aragonite in a single matrix (calcium carbonate, Mohs 3, trigonal system). The blue colour comes from trace copper or iron content. Despite the name, it has no connection to the Caribbean; the trade name references the blue-teal resemblance to Caribbean water. It is a recently discovered material that entered the international market around 2019 and quickly became one of the most popular new introductions in the crystal trade. Origin: Pakistan, the only known commercial source.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding. Caribbean Calcite is sensitive to acids and can be etched or damaged by contact with perfume, lotion, cleaning products, or acidic liquids. Apply these before putting the piece on.
