Small chatoyant stone with a bright band of moving light

Product Description

Cat's Eye Tumbled Stone, a small polished piece with a bright chatoyant band of light that slides across the surface as the stone turns. Each piece is tumbled to a rounded, compact shape and a high polish that brings out the moving sheen. The smaller size suits grids, jars and detailed arrangements.

Cat's Eye is traditionally associated with protection, awareness and intuitive perception, and is commonly used as a watchful, focusing stone. People often hold it during reflection, keep it close for a sense of alertness and clarity, or tuck several into a pouch or grid. The shifting light gives even the small stones a quiet, eye-catching presence.

Each Cat's Eye Tumbled Stone is individual, so the strength and position of the chatoyant band vary from one small stone to the next.

Geological Information
Cat's Eye quartz is a chatoyant quartz, silicon dioxide, in which parallel fibrous inclusions reflect light into a single moving band, the cat's eye effect, when the stone is polished. It sits at roughly Mohs 6 to 7. Note that a large share of inexpensive tumbled material sold as cat's eye is man-made fibre-optic glass rather than natural quartz; genuine quartz cat's eye comes from mixed natural sources.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
