Product Description

These Quartz with Chrysocolla Pebbles are polished into smooth, rounded forms showing blue to blue-green Chrysocolla set within and around clear to milky quartz. Tumbling brings out the vivid copper-blue colour against the paler quartz, and each pebble has a solid, tactile feel in the hand. The spread of blue-green colour varies in every piece.

Chrysocolla is traditionally associated with Calm and Stress Relief, valued as a soothing, communicative stone. It is commonly kept for Love and Compassion and used as a gentle focal point for calm, heartfelt expression.

Because this is a natural material, the amount and depth of blue-green colour and the exact size vary from stone to stone, so the piece you receive will be uniquely its own.

Geological Information
Chrysocolla is a hydrated copper silicate with a Mohs hardness of 2.5 to 3.5 and an amorphous structure, and its blue to blue-green colour comes entirely from copper content, making it one of the most vibrantly coloured copper minerals. It is often confused with turquoise but is distinguishable by its lower hardness, and where it occurs intergrown with quartz, as in this material, the surrounding silica gives added durability; the rare quartz-hosted variety is known as Gem Silica. Chrysocolla was used in ancient Egypt, where Cleopatra reportedly wore it regularly, and it was known in ancient Israel as Eilat Stone when found in combination with malachite and turquoise. Principal sources include the United States, Peru, Chile, Mexico, and Israel.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Chrysocolla is a copper mineral, so wash your hands after handling and do not use it in water or elixirs. The Chrysocolla itself is soft at Mohs 2.5 to 3.5, so handle gently and store away from harder stones.
