Product Description

The Rhodochrosite Top Polished Point is a single point in soft pink to deep rose, showing the concentric pink-and-white banding the stone is famous for, finished with a smooth polish that brings out the swirling pattern. The colour can range from pale blush to a richer rose-red across the bands, and the point is shaped to a clean termination at the top and cut flat at the base so it stands on its own.

Rhodochrosite is traditionally associated with the heart, with love and emotional warmth, and also with confidence and steady resolve. People keep a polished point on a desk or bedside, hold it during quiet moments, or set it where its rose banding can be seen. Its distinctive pink swirls make it a soft, eye-catching display piece.

Each Point is cut from natural Rhodochrosite, so the depth of the rose colour and the pattern of the banding vary from one piece to the next, and the stone you receive will be its own.

Geological Information
Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral, crystallising in the trigonal system at a soft Mohs hardness of 3.5 to 4, producing vivid pink to rose-red colours from its manganese content. Its distinctive concentric pink-and-white banding, visible in polished material, is one of the most recognisable patterns in retail crystals. Its name derives from the Greek rhodon, meaning rose, and chros, meaning colour. The mineral carries a genuine cultural tradition: the Inca called it Inca Rose, believing it to be the blood of former rulers turned to stone, and the Spanish later discovered rich deposits in abandoned Inca silver mines in Argentina, where the Capillitas mine material is among the most prized. This piece is sourced from Peru, with further deposits in Argentina, South Africa, Colorado in the United States and China.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Rhodochrosite is soft at Mohs 3.5 to 4 and is acid-sensitive. Handle it gently, keep it away from harder stones and from anything acidic, and avoid prolonged water exposure so the polished surface and banding stay sharp.
