Product Description

The Apophyllite Cluster Specimen is a free-standing mass of bright, glassy Apophyllite crystals, their square-edged prismatic forms packed together and catching the light with a vitreous, almost mirror-like shine. The crystals are clear to white, and the specimen is cut flat at the base so it stands on its own as a display piece, shown in its natural grown form.

Apophyllite is traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual awareness and a sense of calm, clear-minded space, and is often kept in meditation and reflection areas. A free-standing cluster of this size is chosen as a centrepiece for a shelf, desk or altar, valued for the brightness and geometry of the crystals as much as for its associations.

Because this is a natural specimen, the size, density and clarity of the crystals differ entirely from one piece to the next, so the specimen you receive will be one of a kind.

Geological Information
Apophyllite is a phyllosilicate mineral, a potassium calcium fluoride silicate crystallising in the tetragonal system at a Mohs hardness of 4.5 to 5. It forms distinctive square prismatic crystals with a highly reflective vitreous to pearly lustre, ranging from colourless to white and sometimes pale green, and is frequently found on matrix with stilbite, calcite and other zeolite minerals. Its name means "to leaf apart" in Greek, referencing its tendency to exfoliate when heated. The primary commercial source is India's Pune region, where this material originates, with further deposits in Iceland, Germany and Brazil.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Apophyllite is soft and brittle at Mohs 4.5 to 5, and its crystals chip and flake easily. Handle the specimen by its base rather than the crystals, keep it where it will not be knocked, and dust gently with a soft brush rather than wiping.
