Hematite Tumbled Chips - 10-22 mm
Product Description
These Hematite Chips are tumbled pieces with a bright metallic silver-grey lustre, larger than most chip sizes at up to a couple of centimetres, with a smooth, reflective polished surface and real weight for their size. The chips are a loose, unstrung form suited to crystal grids, resin and jewellery craft, pouches, and decorative fills.
Hematite is traditionally valued as a strongly grounding and protective stone, commonly used to steady the mind and support focus and composure. Loose chips like these are often placed in grounding grids, added to craft and resin projects, or carried in a pouch. Their heavy, metallic character makes them a distinctive material for earth-toned, anchoring layouts.
As a natural mineral, each chip varies slightly in finish and shape across the mix, so every piece is a little different.

Geological Information
Hematite is an iron oxide mineral with a hardness of 5.5 to 6.5, the same iron oxide that gives red rocks, rust, and red ochre their colour. Its name comes from the Greek haema, meaning blood, referring to the red-brown streak it leaves when scratched, though polished Hematite is a metallic silver-grey. Natural Hematite is non-magnetic; the magnetic version sold as Hematine or Magnetite is a man-made sintered material. Red ochre from Hematite has been used for body paint and cave art for over 100,000 years. The material is sourced chiefly from Brazil, Australia, and England, with further deposits in the United States and China.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
