Rainbow Moonstone Worry Stone - 1.5-1.75 inch
Product Description
Rainbow Moonstone Worry Stone cut to an oval with a thumb hollow across one face. The body is a translucent white to grey with dark inclusions scattered through it, and tilted into the light a vivid blue flash sweeps across the surface and vanishes as the angle changes. Flash strength is particular to the individual stone, running edge to edge on some pieces and appearing only in patches on others.
Rainbow Moonstone carries the lunar tradition of moonstone with a stronger emphasis on intuition, an association that owes a good deal to how dramatic the blue flash is. It is commonly held during practice, kept where a moving light will catch it, or carried by people who want something that changes as they turn it. The flash is genuinely hard to photograph, so most pieces exceed what the images promise.

Geological Information
Rainbow Moonstone is sold universally under that trade name but is technically a white labradorite, a plagioclase feldspar, rather than true orthoclase moonstone. The distinction is real and worth stating: the two are different feldspars, though the optical effect and the market positioning are identical. The vivid blue flash comes from light diffraction between lamellar layers of albite and orthoclase within the crystal, and it is typically stronger and more saturated than the softer sheen of traditional cream moonstone. The material is a potassium aluminium silicate at Mohs 6 to 6.5 in the monoclinic system, untreated and unenhanced. It carries the same lunar tradition as classic moonstone, with the stronger association with intuition and psychic work likely owing to the intensity of the flash. India is the primary commercial source, with further material from Sri Lanka and Madagascar.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Rainbow Moonstone has natural cleavage planes and can chip or fracture if knocked against a hard surface. Handle with care.
