Product Description

The Clear Quartz Heart ranges from near-transparent through to a soft cloudy white, with internal veils and fracture planes sitting at different depths inside the stone and catching light as the piece is turned. Some carry pronounced internal fracturing that scatters light into pale flashes; others run more uniformly milky. Most are carved with symmetrical lobes and a defined point, though the smaller pieces tend to read rounder and softer in outline, and every face is polished smooth. The lighter pieces in this range settle easily into a closed hand.

Clear Quartz is the most widely used stone in the quartz family, and practitioners commonly treat it as a working tool rather than a stone with a narrow association of its own. It is traditionally described as amplifying whatever is placed alongside it, which is why the Heart form so often sits at the centre point of a grid. It is also a frequent gift choice where a more specific stone association would feel too pointed, and a common pick for anyone who prefers a single piece to assembling a set.

Geological Information
Clear Quartz is silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at a Mohs hardness of 7. It is colourless because the silica lattice is largely free of the trace elements that produce colour in other quartz varieties, and any cloudiness comes from microscopic fluid inclusions or healed internal fractures rather than mineral content. Quartz forms across an unusually wide range of geological environments, from slow growth in hydrothermal veins and pegmatite cavities to accumulation in sedimentary deposits, and silicon dioxide is the most abundant mineral compound in the Earth's crust, occurring on every continent. The mineral is piezoelectric, generating an electrical charge under mechanical stress, which makes it one of the most industrially significant minerals in use today, found in watches, oscillators, and precision instruments. Quartz also has one of the oldest and most universal records of human use of any mineral, worked by virtually every culture with access to it, and polished spheres have been used for scrying across many traditions for thousands of years. Some quartz is laboratory grown for industrial and electronic applications; retail crystal material is natural unless otherwise stated. Principal commercial sources are Brazil, Madagascar, the United States, China, and the Alps.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
