Fire Agate Worry Stone - 2 inch
Product Description
Fire Agate Worry Stone cut to a broad oval with a thumb hollow across the face. The base colour is a deep reddish-brown, close to mahogany, and the polish is high enough that the surface holds a clear specular highlight. Tilted under a direct light the better pieces show the material's characteristic internal flash, a shift of red and gold moving beneath the surface rather than sitting on it, though how much of that a given stone carries varies considerably.
Fire Agate is traditionally associated with drive and with acting on something rather than deliberating over it, and it is one of the warmer-toned stones people reach for when motivation rather than calm is the aim. It is commonly carried through a demanding period, held before something that needs nerve, or kept where it will catch direct light. The broad oval gives a thumb a long travel across the hollow, which suits sustained use.

Geological Information
Fire Agate is a chalcedony variety within the quartz family, silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at Mohs 7. Its defining feature is an iridescent play of colour in red, orange, gold and green, produced by light interference between alternating thin layers of iron oxide and silica within the stone. The optical mechanism is similar in principle to that of opal but structurally distinct, and the effect is entirely natural, requiring no treatment or coating to produce. There is limited pre-colonial record of the material in the American Southwest; it is primarily a twentieth century lapidary discovery, which is unusual among agates given how long the wider family has been worked. Commercial material comes principally from Arizona, California and New Mexico in the USA, with further material from Mexico.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
