Flower Agate Tumbled Stones show a soft, translucent white-to-cream body filled with pink-and-white plume formations that bloom through the stone in three dimensions. Polished smooth, the floral plumes appear to float beneath the surface, shifting as the light moves. At this size the stones are comfortable to hold and the depth of the internal blooms reads clearly.

Geological Information
Flower Agate is a chalcedony variety of the quartz family, silicon dioxide of the trigonal system at a Mohs hardness of 7. Its translucent white-to-cream base is filled with opaque pink chalcedony that crystallized into three-dimensional plume formations within the quartz cavity at a later stage of growth, and cross-sections reveal these flower-like structures in full. The three-dimensional plumes are genuinely distinctive among agates. Flower Agate has no ancient tradition; it is a very recent discovery that entered the international market around 2018 and quickly became one of the most popular new agates in the retail trade. Madagascar is the only significant commercial source, and this material is sourced there.
