Malachite Freeform - 1.75-2.25 inch
Product Description
This Malachite Freeform is a vivid green hand-shaped piece polished on all faces, with no fixed geometry, letting the stone's banding flow naturally across its rounded contours. The light-and-dark green bands swirl in concentric eyes and ribbons over the smooth surface. It is a comfortable hand-sized freeform that reads beautifully from every angle on a shelf or desk.
Malachite is traditionally associated with transformation and protective grounding, and is commonly used as a bold focal stone for change and growth. Many people keep this Freeform as a display piece, hold it during reflection, or set it in a workspace; its swirling banding makes it one of the more striking green stones to display.
This piece is formed from natural Malachite and will display unique banding, colour depth, and surface character inherent to the material.

Geological Information
Malachite is a copper carbonate hydroxide of the monoclinic system, soft at a Mohs hardness of 3.5 to 4, producing some of the most vivid greens in the mineral world entirely from its copper content. Its characteristic banding, alternating light and dark green, forms by rhythmic precipitation of copper carbonate during growth, which on a freeform reads as flowing eyes and ribbons across the surface. It was used in ancient Egypt as a ground green eye pigment, and the Russian Imperial Malachite Room in St Petersburg remains one of the most spectacular decorative uses of the mineral. This material is sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo, with further deposits in Zambia, Russia, Australia, the USA and Israel.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Malachite is soft at Mohs 3.5 to 4 and is a copper mineral. Polished pieces are safe for normal display and handling, but do not use it in water elixirs, wash your hands after prolonged handling, and never sand or grind it, as the dust is hazardous to inhale. Store it apart from harder stones.
