Grey Picasso Jasper Sphere - 0.75 inch
Product Description
The Grey Picasso Jasper Sphere is a small, fully polished orb marked with the bold, abstract linear patterning the stone is named for, in greys, blacks, browns and cream. The dark lines wander across the pale base like brushstrokes, so each Sphere reads almost like a miniature abstract painting, and the high polish gives it a smooth, even surface that sits neatly in the palm or on a small stand.
Picasso Jasper is traditionally associated with creativity and self-expression, and with steady transformation, qualities often linked to its painterly markings. People keep a small Sphere like this on a desk or shelf, hold it during creative or reflective work, or add it to a collection of patterned stones. The sphere form is favoured for radiating its associations evenly in all directions.
As a natural stone, the pattern and contrast of the markings differ from one Sphere to the next, so the piece you receive will be its own.

Geological Information
Picasso Jasper, also called Picasso Stone or Picasso Marble, is not a true silica-based jasper but a metamorphic limestone recrystallised into marble, at a soft Mohs hardness of 3 to 4. Its bold abstract markings come from graphite and iron oxide deposits within the marble, producing the black, grey, brown and cream linear patterns that evoke abstract painting and gave the stone its 20th-century trade name. The patterning varies significantly between pieces, and the primary source is Utah in the United States. The "jasper" name is universally accepted in the trade despite the geological mismatch.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Picasso Jasper is soft at Mohs 3 to 4 and, being marble-based, is acid-sensitive. Handle it gently, keep it away from harder stones and from anything acidic, and avoid prolonged water exposure so the polished surface stays smooth.
