Sodalite Sphere - 0.75 inch

Deep royal blue broken by soft white veining
$3.95

Product Description

The Sodalite Sphere is a small, fully polished orb in deep royal blue, marked with the soft white calcite veining the stone is known for. The blue runs rich and even across the surface, broken by pale streaks and patches, and the high polish gives the Sphere a smooth, cool finish that sits comfortably in the palm or on a small stand.

Sodalite is traditionally associated with clarity of thought, calm focus and intuition, and is often kept where clear thinking is wanted, such as a desk or study. People hold a small Sphere like this during reflection, keep it in a workspace, or add it to a collection. The sphere form is favoured for radiating its associations evenly in all directions.

As a natural stone, the depth of the blue and the pattern of the white veining differ from one Sphere to the next, so the piece you receive will be its own.

Geological Information
Sodalite is a sodium aluminium silicate chloride, a feldspathoid mineral (rather than a true feldspar) crystallising in the cubic system at a Mohs hardness of 5.5 to 6. Its blue colour comes from sulphur and iron impurities, and the white calcite veining is a characteristic feature. It is frequently confused with lapis lazuli but lacks the gold pyrite flecks of lapis, showing instead a more uniform blue with white veining. The Princess Sodalite deposit in Ontario, Canada, was named during a royal visit in 1891, and the tenebrescent variety, hackmanite, changes colour under UV light and reverts in darkness. This material is sourced from Brazil, with further deposits in Canada, Namibia, India and Russia.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
