Green Aventurine Heart - 1.5-1.75 inch
Product Description
This Green Aventurine Heart is a deep green puffed Heart with a smooth polished surface and the soft metallic glitter the stone is known for, the sparkle catching the light as it turns. The green is rich and even, sometimes with paler mottling. It is a small, palm-friendly Heart that feels smooth and solid in the hand.
Green Aventurine is traditionally associated with abundance and a sense of balanced wellbeing, and is commonly used as a gently uplifting, steadying stone. Many people carry this Heart, keep it on a desk, or hold it during quiet reflection; it is also a popular gift for encouragement and good fortune.
Shaped from natural stone, each Green Aventurine Heart varies in green tone, glitter, and mottling, so no two pieces are exactly alike.

Geological Information
Green Aventurine is a quartz, silicon dioxide at a Mohs hardness of 7, its green colour and metallic glitter coming from flat parallel fuchsite mica platelets, an effect called aventurescence. It is named from the Italian a ventura, meaning by chance, after the accidental discovery of aventurine glass. It is often confused with jade but is distinguishable by its characteristic sparkle and is a quartz rather than a jade. It was used extensively in ancient Chinese and Tibetan carving traditions. This material is sourced from India, with further deposits in Brazil, Russia, Tanzania and China.
