Picasso Jasper Heart - 1.75 inch
Product Description
The Picasso Jasper Heart carries bold black and dark grey linear markings sweeping across a pale cream and grey body, the lines running in long strokes rather than tight patterns. Some pieces are dominated by the dark markings and others carry only a few, so the balance between light and dark shifts completely between them. The polish is smooth with a soft lustre. The Heart is a comfortable hand size with a solid, settled weight.
Picasso Jasper is traditionally associated with creativity and expression, a reading that comes directly from the resemblance between its markings and abstract painting. A secondary association with transformation and growth supports that. The Heart form suits a desk, studio, or shelf where the piece can be seen properly, and it is often given to someone working through a period of reinvention.

Geological Information
Picasso Jasper is a metamorphic rock, a limestone recrystallised into marble, with graphite and iron oxide producing the bold abstract linear markings that give it its name. At Mohs 3 to 4 it is calcium carbonate rather than silica, which means it is not a true jasper despite the universally established trade name; jasper is a chalcedony at Mohs 7, and the difference in hardness between the two is substantial. The material is also sold as Picasso Stone and Picasso Marble, both more accurate descriptions. It is natural and requires no treatment, with the markings entirely a product of mineral deposition during metamorphism. There is no ancient tradition attached to it; the name is a twentieth-century trade designation referencing the resemblance to Picasso's visual style. Utah in the USA is the primary documented source.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
