The wood carries a golden to amber colour, with darker resin veins visible through the grain, and owes its fragrance to naturally occurring compounds including limonene and cedrol. Only naturally fallen wood is used, aged four to ten years before harvest to properly develop its aromatic character, with no synthetic treatment involved.
