Selenite Pentacle Stick Burner is a round, hand-carved selenite disc engraved with a pentacle at its centre, ringed by five crescent moons and a Celtic knotwork border. A small groove holds a stick of incense at a slight angle while the flat disc catches the falling ash beneath it. The stone itself is white to colourless with a fibrous, silky lustre, polished smooth on the surface and left with a soft, natural translucency where the light catches it.
Selenite is prized for cleansing, clarity and focus, with a calming quality that settles a scattered mind. The engraved pentacle reinforces themes of protection and balance, while the ring of crescent moons echoes selenite's long-standing lunar association, named for Selene, the Greek moon goddess. Paired with the stone's naturally soft glow, it makes a fitting resting place for incense during meditation, intention-setting, or a simple end-of-day reset.

Geological Information
Selenite is a crystalline variety of gypsum, a calcium sulfate mineral, forming in sedimentary environments where mineral-rich water evaporates and deposits fibrous layers that solidify into translucent masses. It rates 2 to 2.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, soft enough to be scratched with a fingernail. Thin selenite slabs were once used as window material in ancient Mesopotamia and Rome before glass became widely available, and the stone's name derives from Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon. Mexico's Cave of the Crystals in Naica holds selenite crystals exceeding 10 metres in length, among the largest mineral crystals ever recorded, discovered only in 2000. This piece is sourced from Morocco, the primary commercial source for retail selenite.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Selenite is water soluble and will be permanently damaged by moisture. Keep dry, never rinse or soak it, and do not use it in water elixirs. It is also very soft (Mohs 2 to 2.5) and scratches easily, so handle gently and store away from harder stones.
