Indigo Gabbro Heart - 1.5-1.75 inch

Deep indigo mottling polished into a reflective palm heart
$8.95

Product Description

The Indigo Gabbro Heart is a dark grey to near-black stone marbled with pale silver and white swirling zones, the two phases meeting in soft, cloudy boundaries rather than sharp lines. Occasional flecks of deeper purple show through where the feldspar catches light. The polish is high and even, and the Heart sits comfortably in a closed hand with a dense, cool weight. Pattern and the proportion of pale to dark vary completely from piece to piece.

Indigo Gabbro is traditionally associated with transformation and growth, with a reputation for supporting change and inward shifts. A secondary association with protection and grounding steadies that, and the combination has made it a common choice for meditation practice. The swirling pattern is the visual draw and makes each piece obviously individual.

Geological Information
Indigo Gabbro, marketed as Mystic Merlinite, is a coarse-grained intrusive igneous rock composed largely of plagioclase feldspar with darker mafic minerals, at a Mohs hardness of 6 to 6.5. Gabbro forms when magma cools slowly deep within the crust, which allows large mineral grains to develop; it is the intrusive equivalent of basalt, sharing the same chemistry but not the fine texture that rapid surface cooling produces. The pale swirling zones are feldspar and the darker body the mafic content, with the marbled appearance a record of how the minerals separated as the melt cooled. No treatments are applied to the stone. The Mystic Merlinite trade name is a modern commercial designation with no historical basis and should not be confused with true merlinite, a distinct dendritic material. Commercial material is sourced primarily from Madagascar, with smaller amounts reported from Alaska.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
