Blue & Green Kyanite Heart - 2 inch
Product Description
This Blue Kyanite with Ruby Heart is a palm-sized, polished heart cut from a natural metamorphic rock in which blue to blue-grey Kyanite meets patches and flecks of red Ruby. The polish brings up the contrast between the bladed blue matrix and the deeper red corundum, and the rounded lobes and point sit comfortably in the hand as a dark, characterful piece.
This combination is traditionally valued for pairing the intuitive, communicative qualities linked to Blue Kyanite with the warm, heart-centred energy attributed to Ruby. A heart like this is often held during quiet reflection, kept on a desk or altar, or given as a token combining calm and warmth. The blue-and-red contrast makes it a distinctive collector and gifting piece.
Formed naturally, each Heart differs in the balance of Kyanite and Ruby and in colour and pattern, so no two are alike.

Geological Information
Blue Kyanite with Ruby is a natural metamorphic rock in which blue Kyanite, an aluminium silicate, and red Ruby, an aluminium oxide of the corundum family, occur together as an intergrowth. Both minerals form under high-pressure metamorphic conditions and are chemically linked through their shared aluminium content, which is why they are found together. Kyanite is notable for its variable hardness, softer along one direction of the crystal than the other, while corundum is the second-hardest natural mineral at Mohs 9. The Ruby in this material is typically opaque to translucent rather than gem-grade faceting quality. The primary source is Karnataka in India, with further deposits in Nepal and Tanzania.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
The Kyanite in this piece is soft along one direction (as low as Mohs 4) and has a natural tendency to split along its cleavage. Handle it gently, avoid knocks, and store it apart from harder stones to prevent chipping or scratching.
