Larimar Tumbled Chips - 5-14 mm
Product Description
These Larimar Chips are tumbled pieces in soft sky blue to blue-green, often marbled with white, with the smooth, gently mottled surface characteristic of the stone. The chips are a loose, unstrung form suited to crystal grids, resin and jewellery craft, pouches, and decorative fills.
Larimar is traditionally associated with calm, gentle communication, and an easy, flowing sense of peace, and is commonly used to soothe stress and encourage clear, gentle expression. Loose chips like these are often placed in calming grids, added to craft and resin projects, or carried in a pouch. Their ocean-like colour makes them a serene material for tranquil, flowing layouts.
As a natural stone, each chip varies in the depth of its blue and its white marbling across the mix, so no two are alike.

Geological Information
Larimar is a rare blue variety of pectolite, a sodium calcium silicate of the triclinic system with a hardness of 4.5 to 5. Its blue to blue-green colour comes from copper substituting for calcium in the crystal structure, producing a range from pale sky blue to deep teal. It is a single-source stone, found only on one mountainside in the Barahona province of the Dominican Republic, and was named in 1974 by combining the name Larissa with the Spanish word for sea, mar. It is believed to have been known to the Taino people before European contact and was rediscovered commercially in the 1970s.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Larimar is soft (Mohs 4.5 to 5), and its blue colour can fade with prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Keep these chips out of strong, direct sun, handle them gently, and store them apart from harder stones.
