Product Description

Larimar Tumbled Stones are soft sky-blue to blue-green pieces, often marked with white marbling that evokes sunlight on water. The polish brings out the gentle depth of the blue, and each stone carries its own pattern of colour and veining. These are smooth, pocketable tumbles with a calm, oceanic look.

Larimar is traditionally associated with calm, stress relief, and gentle emotional warmth. It is commonly carried as a soothing everyday stone, held during meditation or restful moments, or kept close for a sense of ease. Its rare single-source origin and sea-and-sky colouring make it a treasured stone for both carry and collection.

The blue ranges from pale sky to deeper teal across the batch, with white marbling unique to each stone, so every piece differs from the photograph.

Geological Information
Larimar is a pectolite variety, a sodium calcium silicate (Mohs 4.5-5, triclinic), coloured blue to blue-green by copper substituting for calcium in the crystal structure, producing a range from pale sky blue to deep teal. It is untreated natural material. It is a genuine single-source gemstone, found only in one mountainside in the Barahona province of the Dominican Republic, and was named in 1974 by combining the name Larissa with the Spanish word for sea, mar. It is believed to have been known to the Taino people before European contact and was rediscovered commercially in the 1970s. Its sole source is the Dominican Republic.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Larimar is a relatively soft stone (Mohs 4.5-5), so store it apart from harder stones and handle it gently to protect the polish. Prolonged direct sunlight can gradually fade its blue colour, so keep it out of extended sun exposure.
