Larvikite Tumbled Stone - 20-30 mm

Mottled green stone for renewal and steady change
$3.95
Portion

Product Description

Serpentine Tumbled Stones show soft, mottled greens ranging from pale yellow-green to deeper forest tones, polished to a smooth finish with the faint waxy quality typical of the material. The colour shifts and clouds across each piece, giving a natural, layered look. At this moderate size the stones sit comfortably in the palm.

Serpentine is traditionally associated with renewal and a steady, grounded sense of change, and is often chosen by people working through transitions who want an even, unhurried support alongside them. It is commonly held in meditation, set in a crystal grid, or carried day to day. The calm green also makes it a pleasing piece for decorative use.

Each Serpentine stone carries its own pattern of greens and surface character, so every piece is distinct.

Geological Information
Serpentine is not a single mineral but a group of related magnesium silicate hydroxide minerals of the monoclinic system, soft at a Mohs hardness of 3 to 5. Its green ranges from pale yellow-green to deep forest green and is often mottled, and the name refers to its resemblance to snakeskin; the translucent gem form is known as Bowenite. Serpentine is frequently used as a jade substitute and is sometimes sold as jade, which it is not, and that distinction is disclosed here. Because some serpentine sources contain chrysotile, a fibrous form of asbestos, only confirmed non-fibrous material is offered for retail. It was worked as a green stone in ancient China, Egypt and across Mesoamerica. This material is sourced from China, with further deposits in New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, the USA and Afghanistan.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Serpentine is soft at Mohs 3 to 5 and scratches easily. Store it separately from harder stones and clean it gently.
