Product Description

Shiva Lingam Tumbled Stones are smooth, elongated pieces in grey and brown, marked with distinctive red-brown elliptical banding. The naturally ovoid form comes from the stone's river origin rather than machine shaping, and the banding differs on every piece. These are solid, sculptural stones that sit well in the hand.

Shiva Lingam is traditionally regarded as a stone of balance and union, associated with harmony and personal transformation, and it holds living sacred significance in Hindu devotional practice. It is commonly kept on an altar, held in meditation, or used in personal ritual and puja. Its cultural depth and natural form make it a meaningful stone to keep or to give.

Each stone is unique in its banding and natural dimensions, shaped over geological time by river action, so no two pieces are identical.

Geological Information
Shiva Lingam stones are naturally ovoid pieces of crypto-crystalline quartz, microcrystalline chalcedony and jasper with iron oxide banding (Mohs 7, trigonal), collected from the Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh, India. The elongated elliptical form is produced entirely by natural river action over geological time, not machining, and the red-brown banding comes from iron oxide. The Narmada is one of the seven sacred rivers of Hinduism, and its annual flood season makes hand collection possible. Shiva Lingam holds significant sacred status in Hindu tradition, representing the union of Shiva and Shakti, and is used in puja and kept in temples, making it one of the few crystal-market stones with a genuinely continuous living sacred tradition. It is sourced exclusively from the Narmada River, India.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
