Chromium-rich mica carrying a fine silvery sheen across a smooth polished surface

Product Description

The Green Mica Heart is a softly organic piece rather than a precision carving, its lobes rounded and gently uneven, the central cleft shallow and the point worn smooth rather than sharply defined. The stone is a deep charcoal green, dark enough to read near-black under most light, broken by pale silvery-white streaks that drift across the surface in loose fibrous lines. The polish is even and slightly waxy, and the Heart settles into a closed palm with a broad, rounded weight.

Fuchsite, sold here under the trade name Green Mica, is traditionally regarded as a gently renewing, heart-centred stone, and is commonly described in practice as easing rather than energizing. Practitioners often keep it within reach during quiet moments or periods of emotional strain, and it is believed to encourage a softer, more forgiving frame of mind. In this form it is frequently given as a gift or kept on a bedside table where it can be picked up and turned over in the hand.

Geological Information
Green Mica is a trade name for Fuchsite, the chromium-bearing variety of muscovite mica: potassium aluminium chromium silicate, Mohs 2 to 3, crystallising in the monoclinic system. Its colour comes from chromium content and ranges from a bright emerald through to the deep, dark green of this material, while the fine silvery sheen across the surface is produced by the perfect basal cleavage characteristic of the mica family, which splits into thin reflective sheets. The material is natural, with no treatment or enhancement applied. Fuchsite is often found in association with ruby corundum, and that naturally occurring combination is sold separately under the name Ruby Fuchsite. The mineral takes its name from the German mineralogist Johann Nepomuk von Fuchs. Principal sources include Brazil, India, Russia, Zimbabwe, and Austria.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
