Nandita Organic Palo Santo Hand-Rolled Masala Incense Sticks (15g)

A cleansing wood fragrance rolled the traditional masala way
$2.49

Product Description

Nandita Organic Palo Santo Incense Sticks bring a South American wood into an Indian hand-rolled masala format, the fragrant heartwood of Bursera graveolens worked into a paste and rolled onto a bamboo core rather than burned as a raw splinter of wood. The scent is sweet, woody, and quietly resinous, with the warm citrus-tinged depth Palo Santo is known for, released steadily and evenly as the stick burns down rather than in the fast, smoky burst of a raw wood chip. Each stick is hand-rolled in India, and a stick burner or ash catcher is needed to burn it safely; sold separately.

Palo Santo, meaning "holy wood," has been burned for generations by shamans and healers across Ecuador, Peru, and Central America, traditionally used to cleanse a space and clear the air before ceremony, meditation, or other spiritual work begins. It is only ever harvested from wood that has fallen naturally and been left to age for years before use, a process believed to be essential to its potency. Traditionally associated with intuition and spiritual awareness, and commonly used for grounding and protection, it is often burned to settle a room and invite a sense of quiet clarity before turning inward.

Geological Information
Palo Santo is the heartwood of Bursera graveolens, a tree native to the seasonally dry tropical forests of Ecuador, Peru, and Central America. Its golden to amber wood carries visible darker veins of natural essential oil, including the aromatic compounds limonene and cedrol, which give the wood its distinctive fragrance. Only wood from trees that have died and fallen naturally is harvested, then left to age for four to ten years before use, a resting period considered essential to developing its full aromatic character. No synthetic treatment is used in its preparation.

AuturaSol Standard
Each product is selected for its quality, character, and aromatic integrity. Natural variation in fragrance intensity, smoke volume, burn character, and resin composition may occur between individual sticks and production batches. Burn time is approximate and will vary depending on environmental conditions, airflow, and placement. Every product is inspected to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding. Incense burns down from the tip, dropping hot ash and embers as it goes - place it in a stable, heat-resistant holder away from drafts and flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets. Never leave burning incense unattended.
