Product Description

This Carnelian Diamond is a faceted, diamond-shaped stone in warm orange to deep red-brown, presented upright on an included metal zodiac stand. Each piece is drawn from a lot, so the depth of colour and the exact size and weight vary from piece to piece, and the included stand holds it on display. The faceted diamond cut catches light across its flat faces.

Carnelian is traditionally associated with Creativity and Expression, one of the oldest continuously used gemstones in human history. It is commonly kept for Confidence and Ambition and used as a warm, motivating focal point.

Because this is a natural material, the colour and the exact size vary from piece to piece, so the one you receive will be uniquely its own.

Geological Information
Carnelian is a chalcedony variety from the quartz family, silicon dioxide, with a Mohs hardness of 7 and a trigonal crystal system, its orange to red-orange colour coming from iron oxide impurities and ranging from pale peach to deep blood orange. Heat treatment is common and standard practice: natural carnelian tends toward brownish orange, while heating produces the vivid red-orange commercially associated with the stone, and some material sold as carnelian is dyed agate, distinguishable because carnelian shows a cloudy colour distribution when held to light whereas dyed agate shows colour concentrated along bands. Carnelian is one of the oldest continuously used gemstones, chosen for seals because wax does not stick to it, and it was used in ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Rome, with pieces found in Tutankhamun's tomb. Principal sources include Brazil, India, Madagascar, Uruguay, and Germany.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
