Tree Agate is a chalcedony variety of the Quartz family, silicon dioxide with a Mohs hardness of 7 and a trigonal system; it is opaque white with green dendritic inclusions that resemble foliage, which distinguishes it from the translucent, variably-coloured moss agate with which it is often confused. It is a natural material. This upright, tapered form has six polished sides and is variously referred to as a Tower, an Obelisk, or a Point. Origins: India is the primary source; this material is supplied from China.
