Geological Information
Golden Topaz is a member of the topaz family, an aluminium silicate fluoride with a Mohs hardness of 8 and an orthorhombic structure; its warm yellow to golden colour is natural in fine material, though some yellow topaz is heat treated or irradiated to develop colour. Despite its hardness, topaz has a perfect basal cleavage, so a sharp knock can split it. This upright, tapered form is variously referred to as a Tower, an Obelisk, or a Point. Origins: Brazil (Ouro Preto for fine golden material), with additional sources in Pakistan, Russia, and Sri Lanka.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
Care Note
Although Topaz is hard at Mohs 8, it has a perfect cleavage and can split from a sharp knock, so avoid dropping or knocking it and store it away from harder stones.
