Opalite Worry Stone - 2 inch
Product Description
Opalite Worry Stone cut to a rounded oval with a broad thumb hollow across one face. The material is a milky translucent white that carries a soft blue cast in reflected light and warms to a pale amber when a light source sits behind it, an effect that is far stronger here than in any natural stone of similar colour. The surface takes an unusually smooth, almost slick polish, and the piece is noticeably lighter in the hand than a quartz worry stone of the same size.
Opalite is used for calm and for settling attention, and is a common starting piece for people new to worry stones because the smooth glass surface is pleasant to work a thumb across. It is generally carried in a pocket or kept on a desk within reach rather than displayed. Its low cost relative to natural opal or moonstone is part of why it circulates so widely.

Geological Information
Opalite is a man-made opalescent glass rather than a natural mineral, manufactured from dolomite and metal compounds and produced primarily in China. Its milky white to pale blue iridescence is an optical effect of light diffraction through the glass structure, and the apparent colour shifts between white and blue depending on lighting and on what sits behind the piece. It is made specifically to resemble natural opal and moonstone, and is widely sold in the crystal market on that visual similarity, but it shares no composition or formation history with either. There is no historical or traditional use behind it; the material is entirely modern. This piece is man-made and is disclosed as such.
AuturaSol Standard
Each piece is selected for its quality, beauty, and visual consistency. Where a material is man-made or enhanced, this is clearly disclosed within the product information. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
