Product Description
Fluorite Palm Stone, a smooth flattened oval polished on all sides, showing cool green tones threaded with deeper green and occasional purple zones. Pieces vary in tone and pattern, with some leaning more purple and others almost entirely green.
Fluorite is traditionally associated with clear thinking, focus, and a sense of order, and is commonly used as a calming, organizing stone. Geological Information
Fluorite is a halide mineral, calcium fluoride, crystallizing in the cubic system at Mohs 4. Its green and purple colours come from trace impurities and rare earth elements forming colour centres in the crystal lattice, with banding reflecting successive growth phases. Fluorite is the defining mineral for Mohs hardness 4 and has perfect octahedral cleavage in four directions, meaning polished pieces can split cleanly along these planes if struck. Notably, the mineral gave its name to fluorescence, having been the first material observed to glow under UV light. It has been carved as an ornamental material since ancient Egypt, Rome, and China, with Roman murrhine vessels among the most prized luxury objects of the ancient world. The primary commercial source is China, with additional deposits in Mexico, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding. Fluorite has natural cleavage planes and can chip or fracture if knocked against a hard surface. Handle with care during normal wear.
