Product Description

The Amethyst with Druse Top Polished Point is a single point combining a smooth polished face with a pocket of natural druzy Amethyst, the tiny purple crystals glittering against the polished body. The colour runs from pale lilac to deep violet, and the contrast between the glassy polish and the sparkling crystal druse gives the piece real depth. It is shaped to a clean termination at the top and cut flat at the base so it stands on its own.

Amethyst is one of the most widely loved stones, traditionally associated with intuition, spiritual awareness and calm, and long regarded as a stone for a clear, settled mind. People keep a polished point on a desk or bedside, hold it during meditation, or set it on an altar or grid. The combination of polished surface and natural druzy pocket makes it as much a display piece as a working stone.

Each Point is cut from natural Amethyst, so the depth of the purple and the extent of the druzy crystals vary from one piece to the next, and the stone you receive will be its own.

Geological Information
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, a silicon dioxide crystallising in the trigonal system at a Mohs hardness of 7. Its purple to violet colour is produced by iron impurities and natural irradiation within the crystal lattice, ranging from the palest lilac to deep royal purple, and it forms as prismatic hexagonal crystals lining geodes and vugs, exactly the kind of druzy crystal pocket seen on this piece. Its name comes from the Ancient Greek amethystos, meaning "not drunk," as it was worn across Greek and Roman cultures as a talisman against intoxication, and it has been used extensively in royal and ecclesiastical jewellery throughout European history, purple being the colour of royalty and spiritual authority. This material is sourced from Brazil, a primary source alongside Uruguay, Zambia and Madagascar.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.
