Product Description

The Serpentine Top Polished Point is a single point in mottled green, ranging from pale yellow-green to deeper forest green, finished with a glassy polish that brings out its waxy, snakeskin-like surface. The colour often varies and marbles across the stone, and the point is shaped to a clean termination at the top and cut flat at the base so it stands on its own.

Serpentine is traditionally associated with transformation, steady growth and protective grounding, and is often kept as a calming, renewing presence. People keep a polished point on a desk or shelf, hold it during reflection, or set it on a grid. Its rich green colour makes it an appealing display piece.

Each Point is cut from natural Serpentine, so the depth and mottling of the green vary from one piece to the next, and the stone you receive will be its own.

Geological Information
Serpentine is not a single mineral but a group of related magnesium silicate hydroxide minerals, crystallising in the monoclinic system at a Mohs hardness of 3 to 5, with a green colour ranging from pale yellow-green to deep forest green and often mottled. It takes its name from its resemblance to snakeskin, and the translucent gem variety is known as bowenite. Serpentine has been used as a green stone in ancient China, Egypt and across Mesoamerica, and is frequently used as a jade substitute, though it should not be misrepresented as jade. This material is supplier-sourced from Peru; documented sources include New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, the United States, Afghanistan and China.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Serpentine is soft at Mohs 3 to 5 and can scratch. Handle it gently, keep it away from harder stones and hard surfaces, and avoid abrasive cleaning so the polished surface stays smooth.
