Warm pink banded tumbled stones for the heart

Product Description

Rhodochrosite Tumbled Stones show the warm pink-to-rose body and soft white banding the material is known for, smoothed into rounded, pocketable forms. This is Grade B material, so the colour and banding vary more from piece to piece than higher grades, with some stones reading deeper rose and others paler and more clouded. The polished surface is gentle to the touch and the size sits comfortably in a closed hand.

Rhodochrosite is traditionally turned to for matters of the heart and self-worth, and is commonly held during quiet reflection or carried as a daily reminder of warmth toward oneself. Many people keep a piece on a bedside table or in a pocket, and the rounded tumbled form makes it an easy, unintimidating gift for someone working through a tender season.

Each Rhodochrosite stone carries its own banding rhythm and depth of pink, so no two are quite alike.

Geological Information
Rhodochrosite is a manganese carbonate mineral that crystallizes in the trigonal system, with a Mohs hardness of only 3.5 to 4. Its pink to deep rose-red colour comes directly from manganese content, and the concentric pink and white banding seen in polished pieces is one of the most recognizable patterns in the retail trade. The name derives from the Greek rhodon, meaning rose, and chros, meaning colour. Argentine material, deposited in ancient Inca silver mines, is among the most prized, and the Incas called it Inca Rose, believing it to be the blood of former rulers turned to stone. The Spanish later rediscovered these deposits in abandoned mine workings. Grade B denotes more variable colour and patterning rather than any treatment. This material is sourced primarily from Argentina, with further deposits in South Africa, Colorado in the USA, Peru and China.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Rhodochrosite is relatively soft at Mohs 3.5 to 4 and is acid-sensitive. Store it apart from harder stones to avoid scratches, and keep it away from acids such as vinegar and citrus.
