Rhodonite Rough - 4-4.5 inch
Product Description
The Rhodonite Rough is a natural, unpolished chunk of Rhodonite in pink to rose-red, veined through with the black manganese oxide markings the stone is known for. Each Rhodonite Rough shows a different balance of pink body and black veining across its raw, natural surfaces, presenting the stone in its untouched state as a specimen or display piece.
Rhodonite is traditionally associated with love and compassion alongside balance and harmony, often regarded as a stone of the heart and of emotional steadiness. A rough, natural piece is commonly kept on a desk or shelf as a specimen, or set where its pink-and-black colour can be seen, valued for showing the stone as it comes from the ground.
As a natural stone, each Rhodonite Rough differs in the depth of its pink, the pattern of its black veining and its exact shape, and the photographs show representative pieces.

Geological Information
Rhodonite is a manganese silicate (Mohs 5.5-6.5, triclinic system), its pink to rose-red colour set off by characteristic black manganese oxide veining, which distinguishes it from the similar-coloured rhodochrosite. The name derives from the Greek rhodon, meaning rose. Crystalline Rhodonite from Franklin, New Jersey, is highly collectable, and Russian Rhodonite was used extensively in Imperial Russian decorative arts. Principal sources include Australia, Russia, Sweden, the USA, Peru and Brazil.

Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance.
