Product Description

Ruby Zoisite with Mica Tumbled Stones combine deep green zoisite, patches of opaque red-pink ruby and dark accents, with this material also carrying flecks of reflective mica that catch the light. Polished to a smooth finish, the three-tone contrast reads clearly across each rounded piece. The stones are substantial in the hand and the green dominates, broken by irregular ruby zones.

Ruby Zoisite is traditionally associated with energy and drive paired with warmth of heart, and is often chosen by people who want momentum without losing a sense of care. It is commonly held during active intention-setting, placed in a workspace, or carried as an everyday companion. The bold colouring also makes it a striking display piece on a shelf.

Formed naturally from several minerals, each Ruby Zoisite stone differs in the balance of green, red and mica, so every piece is one of a kind.

Geological Information
Ruby Zoisite, also called Anyolite, is a naturally occurring combination rock rather than a single mineral, with a variable Mohs hardness of 6 to 9 because the ruby corundum is far harder than the surrounding zoisite. Its vivid colouring is structural: green from the zoisite, red from the ruby and black from tschermakite hornblende, with this material additionally showing mica. The name Anyolite comes from the Masai word for green, a genuine indigenous designation, and the combination was commercially identified in 1954. It is found chiefly in the Longido district of Tanzania, with further material from Kenya. The three-colour natural combination is what makes the stone distinctive and visually powerful. This material is sourced from Tanzania.
