Serpentine Tumbled Stone - 30-45 mm

Larger mottled green stone, tumbled for grounding and growth
$4.95

Product Description

These Serpentine Tumbled Stones are larger polished pieces in rich, mottled greens, ranging from soft sage to deeper forest tones with a smooth, waxy surface. The greater size gives the natural colour variation more room to show, and the stones have a satisfying weight in the hand. They suit palm handling, larger display bowls, or curated collections.

Serpentine is traditionally associated with renewal, grounding and connection to natural cycles, and in this larger tumbled form its smooth surface and presence make it a comfortable meditation or display stone. People hold a piece during quiet practice, keep one on a shelf, or carry it as a steadying stone. It is a well-loved choice for anyone drawn to substantial green stones.

Each Serpentine stone is natural, so the spread of light and dark greens and the surface mottling will be unique to the piece you receive.

Geological Information
Serpentine is a group of related magnesium silicate hydroxide minerals rather than a single mineral, soft at about Mohs 3 to 5, with a mottled green colour running from pale yellow-green to deep forest green. It is named for its snakeskin appearance and is frequently used as a jade substitute, so it must never be represented or sold as jade. Because some serpentine sources contain chrysotile, a fibrous form of asbestos, only confirmed non-fibrous material is suitable for retail; this material is offered as confirmed non-fibrous. Serpentine has been worked as a green stone since antiquity in China, Egypt and Mesoamerica. This material is sourced from China, with serpentine more broadly found in New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, Afghanistan and the USA.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Serpentine is soft (Mohs 3 to 5) and scratches easily. Store it apart from harder stones and handle it gently to protect the polished surface.
