Soft green stone from India, tumbled for transformation and balance
$2.49

Product Description

These Serpentine Tumbled Stones from India are polished into smooth rounded pieces in soft, naturally expressive greens, from light olive to richer forest shades. The green is typically mottled and patchy across each stone, with a gentle waxy lustre brought up by the polish. The comfortable palm size suits handling, a display bowl, or quiet tactile use.

Serpentine is traditionally associated with grounding, natural balance and a steady sense of renewal, and is often kept by people who want a calm, earthy stone close at hand. People hold a piece during meditation, place one in a living space, or carry it through the day. It is a common, approachable gift for anyone drawn to green stones and natural materials.

As a natural stone, each Serpentine piece differs in its pattern of greens and surface mottling, so the stone you receive will carry its own character.

Geological Information
Serpentine is a group of related magnesium silicate hydroxide minerals rather than a single mineral, soft at about Mohs 3 to 5, with a green colour that runs from pale yellow-green to deep forest green and is usually mottled. Named for its snakeskin appearance, it is frequently used as a jade substitute and must not be represented or sold as jade. Some serpentine sources contain chrysotile, a fibrous form of asbestos, so only confirmed non-fibrous material is suitable for retail; this material is offered as confirmed non-fibrous. Serpentine has been used as a green stone since antiquity in China, Egypt and Mesoamerica. This material is sourced from India, with serpentine more broadly found in New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, China and the USA.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Serpentine is soft (Mohs 3 to 5) and scratches easily. Store it apart from harder stones and handle it gently to keep the polished surface intact.
