Product Description

These Sodalite Tumbled Stones have a deep royal blue colour marked with white calcite veining, polished into smooth rounded pieces. The blue is rich and fairly uniform, threaded with pale streaks and patches that make each stone distinct. The small palm size makes them easy to pocket, carry, or display in a bowl.

Sodalite is traditionally associated with clear thinking, focus and a calm, rational state of mind, and is commonly chosen by people who want help organising their thoughts or staying level-headed. Many keep a piece on a desk while studying or working, hold one during reflection, or carry it through a busy day. It is a frequent gift for students and anyone facing a mentally demanding period.

Each Sodalite stone is natural, so the depth of blue and the amount and pattern of white veining will vary from one piece to the next.

Geological Information
Sodalite is a sodium aluminium silicate chloride, a feldspathoid mineral rather than a true feldspar, with a Mohs hardness of 5.5 to 6, and its blue colour comes from sulphur and iron impurities, with characteristic white calcite veining. It is frequently confused with lapis lazuli but lacks the gold pyrite flecks of lapis and shows a more uniform blue with white veining. The large Princess Sodalite deposit in Ontario, Canada was discovered during a royal visit in 1891. The tenebrescent variety, Hackmanite, changes colour from white or grey to violet under ultraviolet light and reverts in darkness. This is natural, untreated material, sourced from Brazil, Canada, Namibia, India and Russia.

AuturaSol Standard
Each natural stone is selected for its authenticity, geological integrity, and energetic clarity. Natural variations in colour, structure, inclusions, and surface features are inherent to geological materials and contribute to the individuality of each piece. Any known treatments, enhancements, stabilization, or man-made characteristics are clearly disclosed within the product information where applicable. Every piece is inspected and photographed to reflect its true character; however, lighting conditions, screen settings, and natural variation may cause slight differences in appearance. If you have any questions about a piece before completing your purchase, we're always here to help. Where authenticity meets beauty, we tell you exactly what you're holding.

Care Note
Sodalite is moderately soft (Mohs 5.5 to 6) and can scratch. Store it apart from harder stones and handle it gently to protect the polished surface.
